   I am running AVG anti-virus on my system do you recommend i run AVG Spyware & Anti-Rootkit Free also?

   just today, my USB drive caught 4 trojan files. i downloaded the files without checking / scanning them, and as you know the clam portable is manual.

   if not, then what are your recommendations?

   I would also like to know what does you computer security system consist of?

   like what anti virus, anti sam, anti-rootkit, spyware ...etc you're using.

   This way we could share each other's opinions, cause its logical that everyone of us uses one kit at a time (most of the time)

   you can use AVG Spyware & Anti-Rootkit, no consist

   antivirus : Pick only one
   antispyware & rootkit : you can use 2 or more if you want, no consist :)

   There are a number of threads where free/paid antivirus/antispyware etc has been discussed at length before.

   While AVG is free, independent tests have placed it towards the bottom of the results for the tested products. (ie. It is better than using nothing, but you can do better for free).
