Hello all. Hamstergirl, this might be of interest to you, amongst others, since I know that you are fond of image editors. I ran across an this jewel today which I have not heard mentioned on this forum, called Photobie.
Now, if I've missed a past post, chalk it up to my deficiency in search abilities. :-)
What impresses me about this free program, is that it handles layers very, very well, and does just about anything you could think of. And to boot, it accepts all Photoshop filters, so if you already have a collections of filters, you're good to go. Here are some excerpts from the program description:
"Photobie is a photo editing software that runs upon .Net framework. It provides many advanced features such as resizing, rotating,
flipping horizontally and vertically, adjusting contrast and transapency, copying and pasting specific area, capturing the screen
with variety shapes, editing the newly pasted area, converting image format, and multilayer editing.
Photobie is featured with photo editing tools, screen capture tools, Gif animation tools, image directory browser, flash player etc. Photobie provides you the full package to handle your photos. So get your hands on it, you will be impressed!"
Well, anyone interested can read the rest on their website, which is at:

Give it a try, and let me know how you think it stacks up against others like Deep Paint, Serif, and Photo Filtre. Here's to a great freeware weekend!!
