I see this a lot where I leave comments about the Giveaway of the Day. Thus I can't log in. This forum or the game comments I never had a problem. I have tried Maxthon and IE6 on different machines and the same thing. As 99% of the time I can't logon on that daily page. I can leave a post though, but it is listed as "Comment by Anonymous".

MemberI have the same problem. I check the forums and I am logged in and I can post, like now, under my name. If I go to the comments of the GOTD, I get the
"Logged in as . Logout>>" statement about who I am, and every post is sent with the usename Anonymous.I once clicked the logout link and it took me to a page to log in, after loggin in, the problem persisted. Other times my name appears in the comments without a problem.
I've tried IE6, IE7, Flock and Firefox, so it is not a browser. I think I'm going to start putting my username inside the message. Any other ideas anybody?

MemberAhh... you have to logout here (at the top) then the giveawayoftheday comments will accept you as a user. Although when you log back here, it won't work over there again. Although the game giveawayoftheday works fine no matter what (at least for me). Like this one for today.

MemberI found a way to get my name in the post too. I have been using Flock lately and for some reason it was logging me in automatically, something it wasn't doing before. I suppose that I can just erase the cookies in Flock, but I was in a hurry, so instead I used Firefox and I was able to open the GOTD page without instant login.
It looks like if don't login at all you need to provide a name (I just use my username) and an email in order to be able to post a comment. Later, after the staff has read and approved the post, and they think it is ok, then the post appears with the name you provided.
BTW, I think all posts get filtered by the GOTD staff. There was some problem with religious comments and they started to editing them too even if the comment was written in Belorussian!
After posting in the comments section, if I want to post in the Forums like I am doing now, then it asks me to login. I hope tomorrow it works the same way!
So it looks like there are some ways to get around the problem. Good! if somebody has this problem, this thread should give them a workaround. Thank you BillW50!

MemberHi k... The comment should be listed later. As it seems to me that if you don't logon (and we can't), then the post will not be posted until one of the administrators takes a look at it first. Although that could be hours later. lol

UnregisteredI am also getting the "Logged in as . Logout »" when logged into the forums and i want to go post a comment. While this can be fixed by logging out and manually typing stuff in, or other methods described above (I didn't read all of the details, sorry), it would be nice if it just worked, gotd :-)

Guys, we've updated our comments section, now you can smoothly logout from forums by clicking appropriate link above the form.
We also added 'Your comment is awaiting moderation' notice that appears below your new post, so you can see if it really published or only you and admin can see it.
