Hi artesian79
I've often recommended games from MyPlayCity (MPC) over the last five or so years. They seem to change their installation wizard every so often, with toolbar and home page/browser changes added to the mix more often than not. At the moment you have to un-check the check boxes every time you start a MPC game up. Also they have recently added ad's to the start up screen. however, once you've started playing any MPC game there's no ad's or check-boxes to worry about. Juwst don't forget to un-check the boxes. Even if you do, it's relatively straight forwards uninstalling the tool-bars and changing your home page back to what you usually use.
I personally don't install many MPC games any more, because I have thousands of arcade games and AAA games to play; plus I've already purchased licenses for many of the MPC games (apart from most of the HOG's and TM games)
You could also try Gametop for more free games (though you'll probably find most of the games already available on MPC.
As Idunno say's above, it's well worth checking through the Good Games to Grab project and the free games synopsis here in these forums. There's been over 2000 free games posted in these Game Discussion forums by Idunno, Wizzard of Oz, TX, myself and others. Many of these games are as good as their commercial cousins and in some cases better.
Finally I'd also consider checking the main game distributors such as Steam, Green Man Gaming, Gamestop, Gamersgate, Desura, Gamefly etc. you'll find a sticky in the Game discussion forums that directs you to these sites.
I downloaded and installed 2 of Gametops games and discovered that they have changed their toolbar policy from last year (they had become very aggressive - basically forcing you to install toolbars etc before you could play the games). Things have changed again. One of the games I installed was a clean install with no checkboxes (Star Rage) and the other (Theseus) had one checkbox, asking if I wanted to set Gametop as your home page. I'd consider using Gametops versions at this point in time. Though they will probably change the format again sometime in the not too distant future.
