Can Ardamax keylogger only record info when someone actually uses the keypads. Is it possible for a virus to record info without the use of the keypads?

A Virus is just a program like any other. A virus can do anything it was designed to do.

I have ardamax and never had a problem with it plus it was a great way to keep my flat mates away from my computer! However I have noticed recordings of firefox and other internet sites recoreded on ardamax programme yet my flat mate swears she hasnt touched my computer. I have searched for a virus but nothing showed.

Do you have a dog? Some breeds of dog prefer Mozilla Firefox over Internet Explorer or Opera.

It might not stop your dog, but have you considered using a password on your user account?

what do you mean by Dog?

I think he's just joking, or suggesting that a pet may have pressed keys while you weren't around but the computer was on..
Still, your user account should have a password - that will keep your flat mates off your computer.Posted 17 years ago # -
Exactly. I also know of a pet cat that is pretty handy with a keyboard. (But this cat prefers playing 'Peggle' to browsing the internet).

My new kitten prefers just batting at the screen where the animated cursor is ;>
Seriously, though, spaceman: One way to look for unwanted programs (such as virii) is to use a program called HijackThis!, and there's various forums where you will find people that look into the HT logs with you.
