How do I delete dual posts? I was told to wait on the first post that I move too fast so I deleted the duplicate content after same message was posted twice after I tried reposting original message.

It's been a long time since I had a non Admin/moderator account so can't remember exactly whether you can totally delete a new thread without asking a moderator or admin to delete it. I suspect that you do need to ask. I've changed the title to reflect your question. Hope this helps.

Do you mean you wanted to delete a post in a thread?
You can edit the post (erase the text) during the first hour. When that was the only post in that thread, the thread will go to the bin.
You can't delete a thread. Even an admin can't totally delete a thread, just make it invisible for public. Are you speaking about the HumbleBundle?
You could copy and paste your text into my older thread and I delete your new thread.
When I copy and paste, it's under my name, not yours.
As you wrote a different text, it may be some more info and could be added.Posted 12 years ago # -
No he meant the whole post. He'd posted the same post with the same title twice. I changed this one to reflect TX's question. :)

The "DealNews-pc games deals" was posted twice after I was told to "Slow down-you move too fast" and nothing seemed to be posted. So I sent the post again and there was 2 same threads. I deleted the internals of the second posted DealNews but was left with same header so I asked my question about how to delete. I will just let you make it invisible next time and have more patience if post is not shown as quick as it is usually posted. (:) Maybe I didn'r delete the title also.

There are no traces left of your thread in the bin.
When there is only one post in a thread and the text is deleted, than the thread will not be "built".
I think the duplicate was only in your cache....
I moved this thread to "General Discussions".
