   I downloaded and installed the RSS Feed software,it is very easy to use.My question is this...where does the feed go after uploading>And,why does it ask me my websites address and password?
   (I have a site and on one of the pages i have an ever changibg news page,what i want to do is simply get the word out about this page and my site)

   The program asks for your username and password so that it can publish to the web. If you create an RSS feed and just let it sit on your computer, nobody can access it.
   This program does not create content for you. You must make everything yourself, from the actual information you want showing on the feed (article summaries, etc) to the page you want the feed to link to when someone opens it up.

   Many forum and blog softwares will automatically generate feeds for you. These feeds don't help "get the word out"; they simply help visitors more easily find out about updates to your page IF they choose to bookmark or otherwise subscribe to them.

   Thanks Jucati for the info,but,i am still confused.OK...i get the part about having to provide the info and manually providing the details.But Again...where does this info end up at,so it can be read by whoever?And...why do i need to give the username and password that I use to sign in and edit my site?This is private info,right!Why not just give the page address the rss info is on?

   The info ends up on the server system that feeds the RSS to others. The user name and password I'm sure are for your own personal access to the service for corrections etc. and to access the service in general. Check the help files of the app and the privacy policy of the service and/or the software developer related to your privacy concerns.

   Without having downloaded or looked at the program... (disclaimer)

   I'd say the program needs a user/pass to be able to upload the actual generated RSS file (that other users access) onto your webspace. Otherwise the program has no way of uploading this file onto the internet.
