I'm not sure about whether you get Cognition episode 1 with this deal. It shows cignition ep 1 next to Cognition ep 2, but episode 1 was sold back in January. I purchased it then. When I go =to my Steam wallet, the gasmes are usually kept in the order they were purchased, but i noticed episode 1 was immediately before episode 2, which would indicate it was included in the deal, but iu'm really not sure. still, for less than $2 you get the second episode plus all the extras they mention. You can get the game on its own for as little as $0.50.

If you beat the average (currently $1.59) then you get episode 1 as well as the other extras (prequal comic and Cognition Original Soundtrack Volume 1). The minimum is $1 and for that you just get episode 2. Purchases include game downloads, Desura keys and if it is Greenlit then we will also get Steam keys.

BTW, 10% of all proceeds go to One Boston Fund to help victims of the bombing at the Boston Marathon.

The latest IndieGameStand is Paranautical Activity

The game combines the classic FPS action of games like Doom and Quake, with the randomness and difficulty of modern roguelikes like Binding of Isaac and Spelunky.

The game runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Buying the beta gets you all future updates, as well as the full game when it comes out.

The latest IGS game is called Vox, yet asnother Minecraft spinoff/copy/bandwagoneer, but for a dollar or slightly more if you want the sound track and wallpapers (average at the moment is £1.49), its well worth the price, especially if you like the idea of mionecraft, or you've read all of the rave reviews about Minecraft. I personally purchased two copies of minecraft while it was in alphs for only a few poiunds each, now its $16. The developer made a million before it even went to Beta, and now sponsors loads of new developers, often donating thousands of dollars to help them attain their goals. VOX isn't minecraft, well not as it is now, but it does remind me of the early versions of the game, tohugh VOX uses smaller cubes and therefor objects look slightly better. (If you're into cubism at all you'll love all these Minecraft releated games).

VOX:

Vox is a voxel based adventure and RPG game. Vox is a highly customizable game where you can create, destroy, edit and build anything you desire. The whole world, every item and object within it, and even the characters and inhabitants of Vox are created using a custom 'Voxel Engine' that allows for an unparalleled level of creativity.

Vox is currently in Alpha development so expect a lot to change over the course of its development. New content, updates and features are being added daily and the game is usually patched multiple times per week.

The latest game from IGS is King Arthurs Gold:

King Arthur's Gold is a 2D cooperative war game played with up to 32 players. You can play as knight, archer or builder - with physics allowing the construction and destruction of medieval fortresses. KAG blends the creative aspects of Minecraft, the medieval strategy of Age of Empires 2, with fast class-based team-driven gameplay of Team Fortress 2, sprinkled with the extreme fun from the teams previous game - Soldat.

Backgound

A long time ago, sometime, somewhere in a land of knights in shining armour and burning peasants a war had begun...

King Arthur's Gold was started in 2011 by Michał Marcinkowski creator of the 2D indie classic Soldat. KAG was self-funded from the money Michał made from Soldat. It was completely self-coded, self-marketed and literally made in a bedroom. Later joined by pixel artist and co-designer Max Cahill and musician David Pencil (of PennyArcade). Initially released undercover, the game's alpha version popularity kicked off because of its innovative multiplayer game design and features - mentioned on PCGamer, Kotaku, Rock Paper Shotgun and winning several indie game awards (including best game of the year). After that it got a bit quiet because the developers hid in their dungeons to totally repaint graphics and recode the engine to use scripts (and boost the modding community). Following the Minecraft model it is now a new game (with the former being called KAG classic) released as KAG Beta in mid-2013.

The latest game on IGS is a top down shooter called Survivor Squad:

Survivor Squad is a Strategy Action game where you control a Squad of up to four survivors and guide them through a highly randomized world looking for supplies to aid you on your journey.

Scavenge for supplies in every corner of every building, craft your gear, pick your skills and loadout while keeping your Squad alive by covering every corner and moving as a group.

It is a game that encourages quick thinking and fast paced play since you need to pay attention to all of your squad mates. If you leave someone behind, chances are they will be pounced on and die. Move as a Squad and cover every corner.

Four game modes: Campaign, Survival, Death Lab and Multiplayer.

Campaign:

Play through a highly randomized world following a simple storyline with unique events and a conclusion.

Survival:

Pandora: Purge of Pride:

Todays game was originally a Kickstarter project (you can check it out HERE, that completed back in May, I didn't back this one as I missed the cut off date; it would have cost me a minimum of $10, now I can get it a significantly cheaper only several weeks after the kickstarter ended. The same goes for most kickstarter projects (Every one I've backed that was released on Steam on release was cheaper than the kickstarter price ).

The game comes with a Desura key; if you pay over the average which stands at $1.70 at the moment (Wed midnight GMT) you'll also get the soundtrack. The game changes over on Sunday morning 4am (GMT)

Pandora: Purge of Pride is a first person puzzle game in which you play as Pandora, a Victorian woman who must recapture the Seven Deadly Sins after they have been unleashed on her mansion.

You must solve a different puzzle based on each Sin to recapture them all, putting them back in the box. As you solve each Sin's puzzle, you earn a new power that will help you manipulate your environment and solve further puzzles.

(Every one I've backed that was released on Steam on release was cheaper than the kickstarter price ).

I have had the same experience. It has really turned me off to kickstarter. I still might back something I really wanted, but now it would have to be something incredibly special.

I agree; that said I have still been backing some projects for example I paid around $50 for the roller coaster game (Theme Park Studio) and Deus Ex Machina, I paid around £64 for some of the extras such as name and an image of my face in the final credits (the photo I sent of myself was appalling, look like I've been zombified, lol), Mel Croucher's (the developer) book, a copy of the original, configured to work on the latest computers, a signed poster, and some other stuff. (don't know why I did as I don't usually go for the extra's; but was impressed by the developers intro and I had a copy of the original when it was first released 20 years ago). I also paid $35 for 7 Days to die as i wanted Alpha access. I've been playing that game for a couple of weeks now (since having problems with my Steam client (not been able to play any of my Steam games on my main computer for over 3 weeks now - because of our impending move I've not had the time to fix the problem)

I do have several Steam keys coming for some of the games I've backed (over 80 now) for example Takedown, which was one of the first games I backed via Kickstarter plus Double Fines Adventure (which has had a name change).

I used to check Kickstarter every day for new games, now it's maybe once or twice a month. If I see something that really grabs me I will still back it, but the average game that I was backing last year, I've stopped doing.

All of the first few games to be put up on Steam as soon as they were released that I'd backed were selling for less than I'd paid via Kickstarter (Strike Suit Zero and two others FTL - Faster than Light and Valdis Story: Abyssal City as well as others since. In fact I can't remember any game that has been released that was actually cheaper than the amount I backed.

Shuggy has just inherited a castle full of goblins, ghouls, zombies, and robots. Help him clear out over 100 rooms to make his new home liveable again! The latest game is Northmark, a card based RPG,

Beat the average, which at the moment (3am GMT) is $1.96 to unlock another game called Styrateg plus Northmark OST Northmark is on Steams Greenlight project, so you may get a Steam key. :)

This is another example as to why game giveaways are awesome. I loved Styrateg...but lost the game due to computer change...now that its on sale...I'm happy to buy the bundle just for the game.
