The total price for all three games is usually £39.98, you only pay £9.99. I paid £35 just for the original Crysis when it was originally released; (actually, I purchased it three times when it was first released as I bought two as presents for friends, then again twice more when i decided to install Steam three years ago, one for me and one for my son). If i didn't already own the game I would still buy it at the original price now as it's a fabulous game and, despite having been released five years ago is still at the cutting edge of graphics, with aazingly rendered jungle textures, destructible environments and an open world. (That said it doesn't have support for DX11, but that wasn't available when the game was created.
The game is mission based, but you can move anywhere on the large island that you parachute onto. The second game in the aseries Crysis Warhead was basically the same as the first game except you play it via one of the other characters from the initial introduction to the game. Both these games have been modded significantly and you'll find hundreds of extra content (one map actually features me - the mapper I used to beta test for wrote me into the story of one of his maps where I was captured by the Korean forces and your task was to rescue me).
Crysis 2, which has now been upgraded to Crysis 2: Maximum Edition. The game is now set in a major city rather then on a jungle island like the first two were. There has been some changes to the keyboard controls (they are more intuitive) and you can no longer roam freely around the game world. There is a feel of open world game play, but it's much more linear than the original games. Apart from these changes, the game remains much the same. (I preferred the first two games).
There is a free version of Crysis called Crysis Warface. If you're not sure whether you'd like the game you could try Crysis Warface a free to play version of Crysis. The graphics have been dumbed down a little, but to be honest its hard to tell the difference. You can see a video of gameplay HERE.

Minimum system requirements:
The minimum system requirements will not allow you to play any of these games with maximum graphics enabled. With my old system that had a dual core 3.2GHz cpu, 4 GB of System RAM, XP Pro platform 32 bit (which limited the combined system RAM and Graphics RAM to less than 4GB of memory) and a NVIDIA 275 GTX video card with 864MB of gRAM I was able to just about max out all the video settings but when a fire fight ensued with more than a couple of bots and explosions occuring my frame rate would bottom out and cause severe lag.
When I upgraded XP to Win 7 64bit the problem of frame rate was solved; probably due to the fact that I was able to utilize all of the System and Video RAM that was not possible with a 32 bit system. Also I added 2GB more system RAM.
The game also supports Direct X 10, but you need at least Vista or Win 7; XP does not support DX10 or above. It's well worth it as details such as flags, smoke and explosions look so much better.
