Foul Language is now allowed on comments page??

How can a comment like this be allowed to pass through the moderation proces??

I was shocked to see it. Insulting other users plus using this kind of language SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED!!!!

I don't really read past the first 10 comments anymore, if that. I figure if anything important comes up, it'll get posted in the forums (which are much better moderated than the comments).

I completely agree with you DaletonaDave. I would also add comment #46 to the "please remove" list.
No excuse for such insulting remarks.

Wow, and I got banned for posting comments because I stated I did not like a particular software they offered. The comment was removed and haven't been able to get a comment to post since. They don't show up.

Who is running this place???

playboy85 - I don't know if you saw my suggestion in another thread (now locked down), but I speculated that your problem might be your username. It is similar to the name of an adult magazine, and it would not surprise me if it's getting blocked by the spam filter.

its hard to moderate every individual comments on the comments page. and normally i dont read the comments, except for BladedThoth's reviews(http://www.bladedthoth.com) which i like to read ;)

I have tried other usernames and emails. I believe my ISP was blocked. I have read where others have had the same issue. One negative comment then SLAP, you can't leave anymore.

Not true playboy85. I have even disassembled software here and posted the results. My posts have never been edited nor my username or ISP blocked. It has to be something else.

Jucati may be right if your email addy includes something that may be filtered or blocked. I do it on my site as well.

I never had issues until I posted that I didnt like a piece of software. I have used other names and email addy's to try to post. Comments still didnt take. I have emailed GOTD support and never got a reply.

Playboy85, how are you getting into the site now? Different proxy or IP? Just wondering if it is your IP because that could effect alot of people.

Don't feel so bad, I was also banned for making a negative comment. Nothing serious. I've been on the net for over 5 years, belong to several message boards and even moderate one and have never had any issues, then get banned here is a total joke.
All I did was comment about the software, Morph. A good deal of people had there computers hosed and had to formatt there comps. All I did was suggest GAOTD pull the software off it's site. Not to mention the software had spyware.
My comment/s were removed as well as my IP addy. Total joke. I guess the truth really hurt em I guess.

Do you gentlemen mind if a country gal joins the elite 'BANNED' club? Apparently, I have been inducted into your rather lofty ranks for submitting a negative comment about Prevx. I suspect it is the comment that triggered the cursing by admin. Like Playboy and Bigstick, it was an observational comment in a forum dedicated to observational comments about a software title's performance (or lack thereof).

After being on the 'net since the 80's, including stints as AOL Host and membership/moderator in several Christian, advocacy and tech forums, this is a first.

Archangel, et al: if you re-read admin's comment it will give you a hint: it is not the fact we commented negatively on software, but that we commented negatively on a software title in which a member of admin had a personal interest.

I disagree, basing the statement on years of training, with strengths in logic, observation and deduction. Couple that with a strong background in psychology and plain ol' common sense.

Not meaning to start an argument, but seriously, any comments I've seen that I would deem "official" have been signed "Giveaway of the Day project team", Slava, or something much more realistic than "admin".

Please don't insult me, my logic, deduction, and observation skills are just fine.
