Like many people, I'm an enthusiastic PC user but don't have the depth of knowledge as most of your developers and comment contributors. Reading the problems some people have installing giveaways, I'm obviously not alone. Could giveaways be marked with the level of competency needed; ie 1 for novices, 2 for those with some experience and 3 for the professionals who know what goes on under the bonnet. It appears to be assumed all GOTD recipients are experts but, for those of us who aren't - but enjoy trying something new - I'd appreciate simplified installation instructions. In the long run, developers might find they appeal to a wider (paying) public by making their installation processes easier to understand. Those who work in computing are in a position to share knowledge but many of us aren't! If you reply to this, please remember there's no such thing as a stupid question . . . !!
