I was glad to have been of help! Enjoy the program, and don't forget to "Pay It Forward"

FwF - there may be a way to save you from having to upload it for everyone else who wants a copy. Had to dig and drill like an 18th century coal miner with black lung disease, but it looks as if righthemisphere.com still offers the trial here (bubby, this isn't an autodownloader page!) if you fill out their datamining form in triplicate and check the entertainment bundle button at the bottom -
http://www.righthemisphere.com/support/downloads/download.phpCaveat: Haven't tried it myself, yet, so don't know what their definition of "evaluate" means, i.e.,
"free unlimited trial",
"you can play but you can't save",
"3 uses and you're out",
"15-days from now, when you're hooked, you'll have to pay through the nose"PS - I notified the German Download.com site of the problem, using http://www.freetranslation.com. (now, LeKanaw, don't laugh!) Either they'll understand and make the change, or charge me with a crime for butchering their native language! Regards my quest for edges and frames, yep, I'm hoping hamstergirl sees it although I'm also hoping for something that's not littered with gerbil pellets and pawprints. :-)

Hello again, RM. Wow, that's a lot of effort you invested. My hat's off to you for that. I really didn't mind upping that file for the CM, it was no problem.
Matter of fact, it got me to thinking how it might be cool to have a sort of Forum Upload Repository to make things like that available for forum members. Sort of an exchange board for freeware that is obscure or hard to find... Maybe even contain some original artwork or things of that nature that board members wanted to share..
What are your thoughts on something like that?

Knowing human nature as I do, I suspect someone would try to kill the golden goose by posting info that violates GAOTD's TOS, if you know what I mean. Still, your basic premise is good if you strictly control what gets posted/uploaded.
Not sure of the liabilities involved, say if you're the conduit for something buggy that ends up even inadvertantly damaging someone's PC. A site disclaimer isn't worth a dime (or a damn) in the US where anyone can sue anyone for anything and corrupt ambulance chasers advertise their lust for the almighty devalued dollar.
As you know, there exists already a site that stores old programs (the link's been posted here a couple times, I just don't have it at my fingertips) as well as a plethora of blogs and gamey sites that display graphics, but that shouldn't dissuade you from launching something similar.

True, true, all you said... Probably not worth the effort in the long run. Bottom line is that there are not that many programs which fall into the category of Deep Paint anyway, I would imagine.
OK, I'm off for another project. See ya later, bud.

Thanks to both of you (RSM and FF) for your excellent and very useful posts. I will be finally reinstalling my own image programs, which I lost interest in following my rta back in Sept 05. I'm attempting to download the lite version of Art Rage and have registered with RightHemisphere.com and hope to get the entertainment bundle soon. I really appreciate the time you both put into researching and finding these great softwares. Also I find reading your threads entertaining as well. :)

Long time no see, Wabbit. Was about to post an update when I saw your (possibly premature) kudos...
UPDATE: The bloody software from RightHemisphere comes with a "30-day trial then disable" feature. The retail cost is $595.
Sometimes I should just remain quiet and lurk.

Bummer, that's a shame.
I haven't checked my E-mails yet. Still I'll check out the bundle. when I finally get my compensation i may even be able to afford another large outlay (I bought CS when it frst came out as I'd loved the earlier version PS7) That was the most I'd ever spent on a software package; but in my opinion money well spent as to do the same stuff with traditional photography wold have cost many thousands (and then a lot would never have been possible. It's about time I got back into it as I've hardly ever used my tablet since the accident.
I've been off line for a week due again to messing with my hardware and further cleaning of the insides of each computer. It's remarkable how quick the insides accumulate dust and fluff. I'm almost finished updating them thankfully. I'm just waiting for a new case and some extra cooling fans (some I've not seen before that slot into the bays at the back)so that i can built up my final one for the next year or so (that is until the quad cores come down in price a little, lol). I find it annoying that most changes always seem to require everything else changing. I've just given away an old 1.5Gh machine and have another MoBo with a 1.8GHz cpu that is probably going to go in the bin as I've no space for it. I've finally got a nice set of computers that should play all of the most recent games (apart from the slowest, a 2.2GHz cpu with a graphics card with only pixel shader 2.O, which I can't beleive was actually my main computer last year). I've been meaning to set up a small LAN for my son and his friends, but went overboard a little, lol. ('scuse the waffle)
