Were your comments about the giveaway program or about GOTD ?

playboy85 - try changing your username? I would not be surprised if a spam feature catches and rejects a username that is similar to the title of an adult magazine.
100% NO SPYWARE 100% NO ADWARE - that does not equal "Spyware/adware included but you'll have to be vigilant and click on things to not get trtashed. Also, service.exe is included, as well as a trojan (Spybot found it) called BlackCore.
Yes, Morpheus will be branded. But, so will Giveawayoftheday - Not only for allowing adware in clear violation of htier own policy, but also other malware AND a trojan. GOTD will also be branded for allowing false advertising - almost nothing of the advertised functions of Morpheus were available.
That is partly the fault of the Morpheus publishers, but ultimately the reponsibility lays squarely with GOTD for allowing it to go on ALL DAY LONG. As soon as the malware was known, the download should have been pulled.
GOTD will also pay (and from the numbers I am watching today already is) with fewer visits, fewer downloads and a permanent question in everyone's mind - When will GOTD allow something like this to happen again, and next time, will it be even worse?
There is no shirking responsibility, GOTD is ultimately responsible for allowing Morpheus to post adware/spyware AND a trojan, as well as falsely advertising the capabilities of the software offering.
The fact that GOTD has not made ANY official statement will only exacerbate the impact, since thier complete silence is proof in itself of collusion with Morpheus' evil actions.
Hempman - "Silence is proof in itself of collusion"
I'd love to see the dodgy logic that supports that conclusion.
Also I have just run the setup on a clean system (and to test, installed everything including Snap and Dealio) then ran Spybot S&D with the latest signatures - and I didn't see any BlackCore trojan... I suspect that trojan was a resident on your hard disk before you installed Morpheus.
To my knowledge you are the only user who also "got" BlackCore.
The rest of what you say, I agree with. GOTD should've "pulled" the giveaway as soon as they were aware that Morpheus was bundled with Adware.
Packaging a third party toolbar (or even two of them) with a program - is not the way to make users want to purchase your product. It was not included to assist or support the trial or use of the product.
But this is going nowhere at all. I am closing this thread - as there have been no posts that I have seen that move this any closer to resolution. If the admins feel they should comment - they can reopen this.
In the meantime, we wait hoping it doesn't repeat in the future.
