Embedding online video is not copyright infringement in the US
In a unanimous decision, the 7th Federal Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that linking or embedding videos hosted on other sites is in no way copyright infringement, and neither is viewing such videos.

FWIW I would caution anyone not to take this as a sign not to worry -- being in the right is no protection or guarantee that some agency or whatever won't come after you. The strategy seems to be to drag things out as long as possible, causing maximum cost & hassle so you'll fold. And even if you stick it out odds are you won't be fully reimbursed, & if you ever get anything seized back, there's a good chance it won't be as you last saw it.
Right or wrong look what the feds accomplished with dotcom, in another sovereign country no less, & you don't likely have his financial resources.
