After being away for a few months I find I can not install todays GameGiveAway in a sandbox (pgm Sandboxie). Rise of Atlantis Premium.
It SAYS "Activated", but nothing has happened!
Has something changed?

Hi Casey and Jaddis,
Yup Jaddis your absolutely right the new security feature for the wrapper prevents the use of Sandboxie's normal way of doing things. So testing software before installing it on your main operating system is no longer feasible to do.
The software will say activated but will not give you any installation what so ever.
It's a shame.. because I love testing programs but not at the cost of a day's worth of re-installing windows.
Good luck to ya.
instead of SandboxIE: http://www.toolwiz.com/products/toolwiz-time-freeze/
You can install and test the software, then when turning off "Time Freeze" you can select to reboot to remove all changes or save or apply the settings (as if you installed the giveaway without running Time Freeze")
This should allow you to test programs without "the cost of a day's worth of reinstalling windows".
I have just tested it with todays giveaway and it worked - both to discard the install without changing my pc - then I ran it a second time and installed with Time Freeze running - then saved those changed files and settings to the PC so the app can be used without Time Freeze running.
Thanks BuBBy - I'd been cautious pointing out the Toolwiz apps not knowing anyone using them on a regular, day-to-day basis -- I'm still using the Wondershare app of the same name since it was on GOTD, but AFAIK they haven't released any updates in a long time & I'm afraid they've abandoned development. Toolwiz also has the same functionality in a system utility app if anyone's interested.
Of course, testing in a VM still works, same as always.
I've got a lifetime license for SandboxIE - but you use whatever works. I tested TimeFreeze on Win7 64 bit
Just one caution though - read the FAQ - http://www.toolwiz.com/products/toolwiz-time-freeze/faqs/
Especially the last item.
Can I uninstall the Toolwiz Timefreeze with third party uninstaller? No, You can not uninstall the Toolwiz Timefreeze with any third party uninstaller. It will cause your system crashed after you restart the system. Only our uninstaller know how to delete the drivers and remove the driver from the filter tree.
Also in it's current form it only allows a rollback on the system drive C:
If you write files to the D: drive, they will remain even after a rollback.
They have another program awaiting release which will allow more options including protection of drives other than C:, and a rollback that doesn't require a reboot - http://forums.toolwiz.com/topic/filefolder-exclusion
Give it try to : http://www.faronics.com/products/deep-freeze/standard/ hope it will help.
