"iPad & iPhone may be ok but no way will I get a Mac PC as for one very hight price in new zealand you look at $3000 and a windows one less than $1000
allso Mac is just to look at and for work no games"
At one time Mac hardware used to be different, & there were some jobs where it actually might have been better. Apple really cultivated their fan boys in the media industries or fields, so at one time some jobs were easier or could only be done on a Mac because that's where the software was. Now however Macs are just more-or-less PCs with special Bios firmware for the iOS DRM -- Google/Bing on hackintosh & you'll see how somewhat popular it is to run iOS on non-Mac hardware. It's not just for fun, but useful if you're doing compatibility testing, or absolutely have to run a Mac-only app. Lots of Mac users overcome the fact that there's more Windows-only software by using Boot Camp to dual boot into Windows & iOS, or like many *nix users, run Windows in a VM.
There's some talk recently about Microsoft trying to become like Apple, based on recent comments by Ballmer, but personally can't/don't see MS or Google really competing in that slot. Sure they may contract to have their own hardware built, but they'd have to set up a 2nd, separate company, & then, assuming Apple doesn't fall apart without Jobs, it'd take years before they were seriously considered an Apple alternative... I don't believe there's more than a handful of people at MS &/or Google today who truly understand building a luxury brand, & being connected to MS or Google would make it doubly hard -- look at all Toyota's gone through establishing the Lexus brand since '89, which was created basically because the same luxury cars weren't taken seriously with a Toyota name plate [I think you had to be a bit of an enthusiast to appreciate how good their their later Supra sports or Cressida lux models really were]. MS &/or Google may come to sell a technically superior alternative to whatever Apple products, but they need to realize that tech superiority has nothing to do with Apple's sales.
