Hello, I have been doing a bit of clearing out on my pc and I found this:-

I don't know what it is and any help would be really usefull as I don't know if
I have to have it on my pc or can I get rid of it. I tried to search it on the
internet, but couldn't find anything about it.

Note 1st that you have to have an alternate way to boot your PC/laptop if needed for this to work...
What I normally do is relocate something I can't identify [usually to a USB stick] & see what happens -- if that something is bad, e.g. Windows won't start, need the alternate boot method to put it back. If it reappears, then I try to trace the source. If everything *seems* to work OK, I'll leave the file or folder on the USB stick for a while just in case.
And as Archangel wrote, where you found it may tell you a lot about what it's for.

Some years ago I tried desperately to delete such a folder - and learnt that this is a identification file that BigBrother Microsoft puts on our systems.
Well, I'm not a computer tech... other explanations are welcome.
Just noticed that I have different kinds of such folders.
Some are empty another contains MRT.exe and some other files.

I found this in HDD (C) and had a look at some of the numbers in it and found the
English copy.
MICROSOFT SOFTWARE SUPPLEMENTAL LICENSE TERMS
MICROSOFT .NET FRAMEWORK 4 FOR MICROSOFT WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM
MICROSOFT .NET FRAMEWORK 4 CLIENT PROFILE FOR MICROSOFT WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM
AND ASSOCIATED LANGUAGE PACKS
This is the file, should have had a look before posting lol
but I'm no good with the computer...
