Unlike the original, the second game has a decent single player campaign. (The first does, but only a token few camaigns with a very small number of AI soldiers to fight against, wheras the second game has a full blown SP campaign.

Check this game out before the deal is done. The game has had a massive update and a big free content pack added since it was released last September, with more free content promise in the near future.
It's one if not the best WWII era FPS games on the market. At only £6.24 (75% off till tomorrow evening) you will be getting a superb game with developers who are true gamers(basically the development team were originally game modders and grew into a true game development house). You just have to watch the videos on Steam to see how much they care about their game.

Initially I though this was going to be a big disappointment because the boot camp portion of the game looked rather retro. The weapons looked like games I purchased several years ago. The boot camp wasn't challenging at all and each weapon station didn't give you enough time to get a feel for the various weapons availale in the game. (The first boot camp I ever played via the first Medal of Honor was bertter); however on starting the campain proper I was really pleased to find this was a very well made game. It's not Call of Duty, but there was somthing about the game mechanics that drew me in. Weapons are fairly basic, my favorite being the sniper rifle.If you love run and gun games this isn't for you. You need to use cover sensibly as often as possible or you'll keep dying. When you die you take over one of your squad mates (in singleplayer). It was well worth the full price I paid for it.
Looking forwards to some community based mods for this game.

Hi rta, it really depends how much of an enthusiast you are and whether you want some decent weapons right at the beginning of the game. Those weapons will unlock later in the game anyway, it just gives you a slight advantage early on. as for the rest of the Deluxe package. The Beat access is no longer valid for obvious reasons and unless you are an enthusiastic Team fortress player and enjoy swapping your player skins in Killing floor the deluxe edition is a waste of money. Personally I'd have paid the extra £1.25 for the weapons, but then I love these games, but am not very good, so the advantage of havig better weapons helps.
Still, the deal price is something not to be missed. I throughly enjoyed playing this game and will be playing it a lot more once i've got my RPG bug sated. :) Definitely not a ghame to be missed if you like shooters even just a little. Watch the Steam videos, you'll see how good this game is, both game play and graphically. There's a couple of videos to see, plus if you go over to you tube you can see just about evey part of the game.
As for offering the Deluxe version now I suppose for some players, especially with 75% off the extras are worth getting, especially bearing in mind what I said above about those who like Killing Floor and Team Fortress as well.
