   We have a lot of recommendations for books here, but I couldn't find a thread where all of them are listed.
   Maybe it's time to explore the forums for books and start a synopsis...well - not now.
   Here is another link to free books, this time for sci-fi and fantasy.

   This is a listing of sites that legally offer free books, for reading (83) and listening (audio 19), for Science Fiction-Fantasy works.

   All of these sites listed have content that is legal for them to distribute and for you to read and/or download.. If you find that any site listed is offering content that can not be legally transferred, please let me know....

   This list is not comprehensive and if you know of any other sites please post in the comments below or at our forums.

   Most entries at those sites that offer only online listening can be downloaded with the Firefox addon DownloadHelper.

   I have CD 13 from the Baen Books CD (1634: The Baltic War). I bought the book Used-Like New and it included the CD -- totally unopened.

   From your list, I found volume 23 which is from another of the Ring of Fire books.

   Note to anybody who gets e-books -- The generic .prc format is NOT completely compatible with Kindle for PC. The place in the book is outrageous and so the scrolling through the book does not work. However, with something like Calibre, you can convert .prc to .mobi and it works like a charm.

   The 49 books in Baen's volume 13 CD are each available in multiple formats. The disk is old enough that the Kindle format is .prc. I was able to find many of the books in .mobi format for free on the Baen site but 20 had to be converted to avoid the Kindle bug.

   Nice note -- I got the "CD" downloaded and it appears to be a superset of volume 13. However, it is the newer format. It looks like I can replace my "conversions" with "official" .mobi formats which will at least avoid the double table of contents at the end. :)
