   Downloaded it and installed it as supposed to. Activated it and it claimed to have succeeded. Went to use it today, and it won't let me save a file because it's a "trial" version, not a registered version. What gives? InPaint's support email states:

   Sorry, but activation for this version was provided by GAOTD and I can't help you with it.
   And now this giveaway is not available any more. The only way to register is order your personal license.
   Thank you.

   Nope. GAOTD gives you access to full version software that CAN be registered. The software doesn't come pre-registered, you have to register it. In your case the registration failed for some reason. If you scroll down the forum you'll find another InPaint post.

   The webpage that says the software installed successfully means it "everything went OK from the installers point of view" but it doesn't mean everything is OK with your PC. When you install the software it's vital that you start it and confirm the registration details on the day the software is offered. If it fails to register on that day then somebody might be able to provide some advise. It's now too late, the giveaway is over and the software cannot be registered. However, there are scads of free photo editors.

   Hi Florida Man, you should always confirm that a program has been registered by cheking the about to see if it says registered, or whether any rigister buttons have disappeared. The only time registration issues can be solved is during the 24 hour giveaway period.

   once good thing about inpaint is that firstly it's given away repeatedly quite often (it was only given away a few months ago) secondly, you cqan find freeware software that does more or less what this does. :)
