In January 2010 the WinPatrol team did an "experiment" offering WinPatrol PLUS - which normally costs $29.95 - for 99¢. That experiment is back. Until 12:00 noon Eastern Standard Time Wednesday April 18, 2012 WinPatrol PLUS is available for 99¢. This is a lifetime license - for non-commercial use only and not for resale.

Nice one Sue, I bought two copies of the licence back then. Well worth it if you don't already have a task manager. Though I'd also purchased avir Task Manager and to this day still can't decide which is better. I tend to err on Avirs side simply becasue i've been using it longer; but that said both have advantages over each other.
The third alternative and free is of course Microsofts Sys Internals, yet another excellent program. both of the others also have free versions, but for this price you can't go wrong for only 99c. I'm tempted to purchase more for my other computers. :)

I thought so too, Whiterabbit -- that Bill is offering such a great deal again! I also have Anvir and often use it to delete a process that Task Manager can't. The one thing about WinPatrol is that sometimes I think that when it's off looking at processes, it slows down my computer until it is finished. I haven't been able to confirm that, though.
You still have some time left to purchase more licenses :)
