Windows 8 On ARM Doesn't Have A Leg To Stand On
This cousin to Windows 8 is being developed specifically for ARM-powered devices, but won't run any x86 applications (at least not without a massive performancehit) For apps, it may depend entirely on either HTML5 or as-yet-forthcoming apps built for Microsoft's new Metro touch UI.
Worse, WoA is said to lack the enterprise management features of conventional editions of Windows 8 -- which makes you wonder if it has any place in the enterprise at all.
Does all this make WoA a certain loser
Reinstalling Windows to give your PC a fresh start is easier than ever before with Windows 8.
In Windows 8, Microsoft added two new features called Refresh and Reset, that simplifies the entire reinstall process and reduces the amount of time required sitting in front of the PC.
Refresh
The Refresh option reinstalls Windows, but keeps personalized settings and files.
Step 1: Open the Run box with the shortcut, Win+R, then type,
%systemroot%\system32\control.exe /name Microsoft.Recovery.
Step 2: Click on the Get Started button under the Refresh section.
Reset
Reset, reinstalls Windows and blows out everything, even allowing you to securely wipe your data, so you can donate or sell your machine. At the end of a Reset, you'll need to re-enter your Windows product key.
Step 1: Open the Run box with the shortcut, Win+R, then type,
%systemroot%\system32\control.exe /name Microsoft.Recovery.
Step 2: Click on the Get Started button under the Reset section.

With the Start button disappeared, shutting down Windows 8 can be a challenge. Here's how to coax the OS into turning itself off.
You can more quickly reach the settings screen by pressing the Windows key and the i key. From there, clicking the Power button will give you access to the same three options mentioned above.
