There's really no solution -- you might contact the developer [the company selling the software] to see if they'd make an exception for you, but generally the rule's pretty ironclad -- you have 24 hours to install the software & that's it.
I've been there -- idiots from brighthouse cable cut our cable when they were working in the upstairs apartment, & it took them over 24 hours to splice it back together -- so I know it can seem unfair. But on the other hand there's no way I could easily prove that's what happened, that I wasn't just making up that story, so I can see why such rules are needed.
