Giveaway of the Day Forums

   Bear with me for the newbie confusion, but I'm not an experienced gamer with these kinds of games. I'm a tad frustrated with the lack of help files to explain some things. I've managed to get a bunch of dragons (about as much as I can handle right now!), collect the gems pretty quickly, fend off the invaders ok (haven't been robbed that I notice) and keep the dragons fed. But under creatures, the only one available to me continues to be imps, which I don't know why I need (I have two), and under objects, only feed trays and jewel chests are available (I have enough now). I make all the jewelry I can after every day, but there's still a lot left over, but I have neough money right now.

   How do I progress to being able to get more creatures, and what are each for? I'm still stuck on the same scene, even though I'm up to day 68 (though it is getting harder with more invaders). And as the end of the day is approaching, am I better off feeding the dragons or collecting the jewels? I've been afraid to leave any dragon hungry lest he die, though that hasn't happened, but feeding them all means less time to collect jewels. Although I'm picking up tons of jewels each day, the quest (to get 8 of a certain gem) is never won.

   How do I earn helpers, and what does each do? What are my goals? I have tons of gold but it doesn't do me any good since I can't buy helpers and don't need more chests or trays. Any ideas? Any help files? Thanks.

   I've only played the game for a short time; enough to have posted the review on the giveaway page, but not enough to answer your question. Hopefully someone from the community will help. Alternatively, you could check out the Plyrix forums to see if there are any answers there. Register and post there as well if you don't get any feedback here.

   I checked the main Playrix site and couldn't find a link to their forums. Seems like they have a separate site for the forums, which you can find HERE

   I finally got the ability to buy trolls, but when I did, I don't see them anywhere. Are they hidden? The invading heroes are still coming. I also gained the ability to shop and bought a royal chef (yay) and upgraded my trolls, but I still don't see trolls. I just wish there were some sort of guide to this, so I could figure out if what I'm seeing is normal, and what the eventual goals are, and any tips. Thanks.

   Maybe some of my clumsy "flying by the seat of my pants" messing around will help someone else who is confused. I wasn't seeing trolls, I think, because I had too many dragons/creatures already. I sold two dragons and was able to buy and see two trolls! Unfortunately, I'd already bought upgrades for all my trolls, which was wasted since, unbeknownst to me, I didn't actually have any trolls! Duh.

   Still wish there were some sort of guide so I could see what I'm missing, how I'm doing compared to normal play (pretty badly it seems!), etc. Never actually had this much confusion about a game, although I admit I'm not really a gamer. I like this one better than the match three games that have, IMHO, very little variety.

   Sorry Hecate, not playing the game but when I set up the game I saved some info and a website that gave a bit of info.

   Dragon Keeper - Walkthrough, Guide, Review - JayIsGames - http://jayisgames.com/archives/2011/05/dragon_keeper.php I couldn't find a real walkthrough.

   And this info was in the GGOTD comments...I just saved it in Evernote for later.

   Sorry I didn't note who wrote this comment...

   "• Play only when enough time to finish island; otherwise QUESTS are lost and have to start over
   • Click on the pulsating mushroom or crystal at cave opening to get 100 coins (once per cave)
   • Replay island 1 until all the upgrades are bought in the shop
   • In 1st 5, be sure to get Imp and set him on bushes first (easiest to clear)
   • Try to get 2+ dragons per Imp until 3 Imps are working
   • Don’t use Trolls; instead hit 1 attacker and then click on whirlwinds until all are gone
   • Buy Gnomes if all gems are not being collected
   • Be sure to have enough food racks and gem boxes (2 of each is plenty)
   • To replay islands, click on REPLAY and then island; DO NOT CLICK PLAY (it will start over from the beginning)"

   When I saw playing it for a very short time, I found I got gold when I clicked on the items the robbers left on the ground. This says don't use trolls...I don't know. There may be more info in the comments ..that is all I gleaned out.

   Hopefully this helps some...

   Thank you for the other link! I did see the other post in the comments, but that wasn't addressing my issues. However, I just found some greatly helpful info on Big Fish Games' forum at http://forums.bigfishgames.com/posts/list/158005.page that looks wonderful! Playrix' forum is weird and I don't think I'll be getting much response there, but the Big Fish one (and maybe the one delenn13 just suggested at jayisgames, should keep me going for a while! Thanks all.

   Finished the game! Just to show just about anyone can do this with enough patience ;). And a little help from your friends on the internet! Thanks to all who helped...still think just a little guide might be useful, without giving away the surprises.
