I though I'd posted this open source version of the game some time ago, but can't find it via the search function. It's an open source game so if i have previously posted it, it's likely to have been updated since last posting. It was definitely updated in 2011. If anyone finds the original post (if it exists) please post a link below and I'll combine the two threads. :)
The following is a user review of the open source version.
Enjoyable system simulation. Patients have amusing illnesses and you have to build diagnosing rooms to help doctors figure out what's wrong, and then build treatment "clinics" or a surgical theater and a ward to help folks rest up after their big operation!I own the original version for win 95-98 and have patched it. (careful, some patches make the game's language german!) it is reasonably reliable for such an old game! also, set auto save to on (checked)
oh, and it took me some time to find the menues - hover at the top of the screen and they'll show up shortly.
Best:
Good initial tutorial help. Cheats are availiable if it is too hard, although the receptionist announces that you're a cheat to the whole hospital!
Worst:
Sometimes the griping employees come too fast and furious and keep you from the task at hand.

You can download the open source version HERE. You may need to play it in compatibility mode. The user reviewer mentioned that the mouse response was better when playing it in Win 98 compatibility mode.
