Using the info from Didimatic.com I finally took the plunge and bought the GOTY edition of Oblivion. I don't have any of the games in this series so when I saw that Steam had it for sale again for $6.24 I decided to get it this time. I know the Wabbit really raves about these games so I'm looking forward to giving it a try. I like games with a slower pace such as Deus Ex and the Splinter Cell series but I've not been much into the midieval type games. The exception to this is I really enjoyed the Myth games which I played online with friends for a few years.

You won't regret buying Oblivion, bar Skyrim it's probably one of the best fantasy RPG's ever released bar the earlier released Morrowing and even the first two elder Scrolls, tohugh both of those are graphically dinosurs compared to the last three games.
There's hundreds of mods for the game, so when you are done with the games content (which I quarantee wll take you months to explore properly, you can add a whole lot more. New buildings, weapons and armour, a whole underground city and caverns as well as expansions into Morrowind. There's a lot to find and play. Even though the game was released almost 6 years ago it still looks fantastic. There's a couple of mods that will improve textures and character skins as well as many more impovement mods. (You can even make it so that the NPC's don't wear undercloths, lol - so when you strip them of their gear, well enough said, lol).
I meant to post it as a recommendation but didn't have the time yeterday. For the price it was a steal. I paid twice as much just for the Knights of the Nine expansion when it was first released back in 2008.

Here's your chance to geta great Co-op game. I've played this for many hours with several giveaway community members since it was released two years ago. The single player campaign is great. There's hundreds of FREE custom made maps available from here that are ideal for playing cooperatively with friends or you can play them singleplayer. There has been loads of extra stuff added to the original game since it was released for example, The Sacrifice, which is a prequel a previous extra release called The Passing. Also the first map in Left 4 Dead called 'No Mercy' has also been ported over to Left 4 Dead 2.
You can get Left 4 Dead 2 for 75% off today till tomorrow at 6pm GMT HERE
Left 4 Dead 2:
Left 4 Dead 2 Images
There are loads of extra campaign maps that you can download from http://www.l4dmaps.com/ many of which are better (IMO) than the vanilla maps. I've been playing Left 4 Dead for well over a year almost every day with friends online (with a few breaks to concemtrate on other games) and can say both games have been amongst the best games (in their genre) that i've played for many years. Todays deal is the best I've ever seen. Don't miss out on two superb games. The price for both games is less than what I was paying for an average arcade game a few years ago

I am all over this one. Any thoughts on the DLC? My understanding is that the RotS Campaign adds quite a bit. The other two are cheap, but seem to just add a new clan and a few more units. I would assume there are already lots of options for those so am not initially inclined to pay for them. Any thoughts?

You can purchase all of the serious Sam games including the spin off indie games from 50% to 90% off. There's some fantastic games on offer. the latest release that was released early this month is 50% off. You can check the deals out HERE
If you've still not bought any of the Assassin Creed games nows the time to jump in. you can get all four games from Steam today only for only £34.99. Considering the latest is usually £30, you are only payuing a fiver for the other three games, which is amazing. You can purchase all of the games seperately, tohugh Revelations on it's own will only nett you a 25% saving. Still, that's not bad considering the game was released only this month. Glad I waited. :)
you can check the whole lot out HERE
All four of the games are open worlds, so you can if you wish just follow your nose and wander anywhere. The environments are amongst the best there is in any game.
I haven't got time to post images from all of the titles, but I did post a piece on the first one when it was on sale some time ago. i've copied it below. Ignore any mention of the previous sale. I've not even got time to edit out the irrelevant detail. :)
This is a brilliant game. Unfortunately it's only available at $5 in North, Central and South America until Thursday morning; everywhere else it's the usual price (which I think is still worth it) Grab this beautiful game while you can. Thankfully I've already got a copy (I bought it on pre-order so paid full price). It's a beautifully rendered game, with amazing visuals. Make sure your computer can cope with it before you buy though.
I'll repost the images tomorrow. They were some images I'd posted elsewhere which I'd not bothered to reduce in size.

I highly recomment today's 24 hour deal. It's only £3.99 for a top quality FPS game. This particular game was overshadowed by the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but in my opinion was just as good (if not better). Well worth adding to your games library. For less than £5 or $5 the quality of this game is outstanding. I'd recommend any gamer whose never really fancied playing a first person shooter try ths game out. For the price of less than the average arcade game from places like Big Fish Games you can get one of the best FPS games ever made to date (barring COD: Black Op's, the latest Modern Warfare and Battlefield 3 and maybe some of the Tom Clancy games and even Battlefield 2 lol).
You can find the Steam page with details a video and images HERE
Video of Gameplay:
You can see video of gameplay both single player and multiplayer as well as a pre release video of the game HERE (first ten minutes of singleplayer mode) , HERE (multiplayer) , HERE (official trailer) and HERE (helicopter mission) .

for less than $7 this is an amazig bargain. The middle screen on the last video uses one of those touch screen panels that's overlaid onto a normal monitor. with this game you can set it up so that you can touch the buttons on the helicopters control panel. There are at least a hundred buttons and dials to interact with, without the touch screen you basically use your mouse to interact with the buttons or shortcuts via the keyboard.
The game can also be played as an arcade sim so the controls are made much simler. If you played it in sim mode there are over 300 different key bindings for the various controls, in arcade mode a small fraction of those. This is as near most of us will ever come to flying a real combat helicopter. :)
The developer has recently released a new version (v2) with lots of improvements. apparently if you own the first one then when it's available via Steam (usually takes about 6 months before their new products hit steam you will get the new one for around half price or less.
They also have a Warthog bomber available (DCS A-10C Warthog) which you can find HERE, but that is full price at the moment.

If you haven't already got any of these games, now's the chance to get one of the greatest RPG franchise ever from Morrowind through Oblivion to Skyrim (though some purists would disagree on the greatest tag and say games such as Icewind Dale and Baldurs Gate deserved the accolade. Every game is epic, and every game is supported by a vast network of modders giving each game a wealth of extra free content (we're talking hundreds of gigabytes of new areas to discover, armour, NPC,s potions and spells, weapons and buildings as well as quests), also Morrowind and Oblivion had expansions released which are now incorporated into the main game as GameoftheYear editions (Morrowing plus the expansions Tribunal and Bloodmoon and Oblivion plus the expansions The Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine {a collection of nine official mods}).
Not only that the first two Elder Scrolls games (Arena and Daggerfall) are now totally free and available from Bethesda (I've linked to the downloads via the free games project). Granted they are both rather old games and look very dated (graphics akin to Wolfenstein or Doom 1 & 2, but both nevertheless are just as good game play wise. There were two other Elder Scrolls games called An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire and The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard but these two games were not as expansive as their sister games with the former being a dungeon romp experience and the latter a linear third person action adventure. Neither of these two games are available except from second hand dealers at this time.
As for the three that are still commercial games, each one is brilliant, but Skyrim is the pinnacle of achievement.
All three games are available at this discounted price until late Thursday. You can find all three games HERE.
I'll post details of each game, videos and and images tomorrow morning.
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim:
The Game:
The next chapter in the highly anticipated Elder Scrolls saga arrives from the makers of the 2006 and 2008 Games of the Year, Bethesda Game Studios. Play any type of character you can imagine, and do whatever you want; the legendary freedom of choice, storytelling, and adventure of The Elder Scrolls is realized like never before.
Skyrim’s new game engine brings to life a complete virtual world with rolling clouds, rugged mountains, bustling cities, lush fields, and ancient dungeons.
Choose from hundreds of weapons, spells, and abilities. The new character system allows you to play any way you want and define yourself through your actions.
Battle ancient dragons like you’ve never seen. As Dragonborn, learn their secrets and harness their power for yourself.

------------------------------------------------------- Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion:
The Game:
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion® Game of the Year Edition presents one of the best RPGs of all time like never before. Step inside the most richly detailed and vibrant game-world ever created. With a powerful combination of freeform gameplay and unprecedented graphics, you can unravel the main quest at your own pace or explore the vast world and find your own challenges.
Also included in the Game of the Year edition are Knights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles expansion, adding new and unique quests and content to the already massive world of Oblivion. See why critics called Oblivion the Best Game of 2006.
Key features:
1) ... Create and play any character you can imagine, from the noble warrior to the sinister assassin to the wizened sorcerer.
2) ... An all-new combat and magic system brings first person role-playing to a new level of intensity where you feel every blow.
3) ... This groundbreaking AI system gives Oblivion's characters full 24/7 schedules and the ability to make their own choices based on the world around them. Non-player characters eat, sleep, and complete goals all on their own.
4) ... In the Shivering Isles expansion, see a world created in Sheogorath's own image, one divided between Mania and Dementia and unlike anything you've experienced in Oblivion.
5) ... Battle the denizens of Shivering Isles, a land filled with hideous insects, Flesh Atronachs, skeletal Shambles, amphibious Grummites, and many more.
6) ... The Knights of the Nine have long been disbanded. Reclaim their former glory as you traverse the far reaches of Cyrodill across an epic quest line.

------------------------------------------------------- Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind:
The Game:
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind® Game of the Year Edition includes Morrowind plus all of the content from the Bloodmoon and Tribunal expansions. The original Mod Construction Set is not included in this package.
An epic, open-ended single-player RPG, Morrowind allows you to create and play any kind of character imaginable. You can choose to follow the main storyline and find the source of the evil blight that plagues the land, or set off on your own to explore strange locations and develop your character based on their actions throughout the game. Featuring stunning 3D graphics, open-ended gameplay, and an incredible level of detail and interactivity, Morrowind offers a gameplay experience like no other.
In Tribunal, you journey to the capital city of Morrowind, called Mournhold, to meet the other two god-kings of Morrowind, Almalexia and Sotha Sil. Your journey will lead you to the Clockwork City of Sotha Sil and massive, epic-sized dungeons, where strange and deadly creatures await you, including goblins, lich lords, and the mysterious Fabricants.
Bloodmoon takes you to the frozen Island of Solstheim where you'll experience snow, blizzards, and new creatures, including frost trolls, ice minions, and wolves... just to name a few. You'll have a choice of stories to follow and have the opportunity to defend the colony, take control over how the colony is built up, and eliminate the werewolves. Or, you can decide to join the werewolves and become one of them, opening up a whole new style of gameplay.
Key features:
1) ... Players can take their existing Morrowind characters and save games and continue their adventures in the Morrowind GotY edition
2) ... Adds up to 80 hours of new gameplay and quests for current Morrowind players; (though that all depends upon how you play the game, personally I've played the game for hundreds of hours and still haven't explored everything and that's without any additional mod content)
3) ... Explore the forests, caves, and snow-covered wastelands of the island of Solstheim
4) ... Delve into new, epic-sized dungeons and visit the Capital City of Mournhold and the Clockwork City of Sotha Sil
5) ... Fight new creatures including bears and wolves, lich lords and goblins, ice minions and spriggans
6) ... Direct the construction of a mining colony and face the threat of savage werewolves
7) ... Become a werewolf and indulge your thirst for the hunt
8) ... New armor and weapons including Nordic Mail and Ice blades

This brilliant deal ends in a few hours time. Apart from a few days Skyrim has been the top game played on Steam since it's release on the 11th Novmber 2011.....(average number of players playing Skyrim every day is over 100 000 every day). This is going to be the Game of the Year for sure. They have just released a free texture pack tha improves the textures for PC users. The game looked brilliant before th texture pack was released, but close up you could tel that things were generally dumbed down for the console market. now we have high res ttextures which sharpe things up somewhat.

@WR, you aren't actually recommending Stronghold 3 are you? I was looking forward to this as I really enjoyed Stronghold Crusader (still play it occasionally). The reviews and forum posts for Stronghold 3 have been extremely disappointing.
Posted 12 years ago # -
Only just noticed your reply Campy. I loved the originals and still have the CD versions. The latest in my opinion is still an excellent game. the problem arose with all of the pre release hype which didn't live up to expectations. IMO for the sale price it is still (or was) well worth purchasing. Even though the majority of reviewers slammed the game, there are still those who though it was a decent and well constructed game. We all have different likes and dislikes . No two gamers have the same preferences and whats rubbish to one is the best game ever to someone else.
I tend to be very forgiving of most games. Many of my games in my collection have low Metascores for example Red Faction II scored 64 yet I though it was a decent game, (though not as good as Red Faction Guerrilla that scored 82. Red Faction Armageddon scored slightly less than Guerrilla at 75 yet I though it was a terrible sequel. There are lots more low scoring games in my collection for example Damnation which only scored 41. I remember being very excited by the pre release videos and pre-ordered it. I must admit initially I was disappointed with it, but that was down to controls that were not very intuitive. You have to be able to do combo key presses that if you didn't have a decent keyboard, which I didn't at the time when it was released (just a microsoft one as my G15 was out of order) made it very hard to achieve some of the moves. I've since played the game with my son and have throughly enjoyed the game. I think that many games that get a bad press tend to be related to such control issues, Take for example Bionic Commando; that was another game that promised to be an amazing game, but bombed on release - the reason, very poor control in game. It took me days just to get past the tutorial level (really), by which time I'd purchased other games and although have returned haven't had time to play it properly, but it still didn't deserve the press it got. In the end it got a Metascore of 69, though Capcom had expected it to be one of their new flag ship games, but of course that never happened..
Amazingly the original Stronghold got a Metacritic score of 81 compared to Stronghold 3's score of 47. Unjustly so IMO, but unfortunatly that's what hype does to these games. You just have to look at the scores that make up the Metacritic, for example Stronghold 2 scored an average 63, yet one critic gave a score of 90 and another a score of 3. The guy who scored three said the following (I've left all of his spelling erros):
Some of the buidlings aren't rotable for placement, logs aren't cleared from the environment, so you can't build anything on it. Selecting 10 archers to fit into a outpost is simply near to impossible. Too many troops and you will experience "unselected" bugs. Lousy AI. Stupid concepts : Why can't I feed my viliages with a vegi plot, and eel but I can hold a feast with them. Why must there be hornor before I can recruit people. Why Can't I build structures/castles in land not belonging to me. U mean in real life this doesn't happen?…
And the guy who scored 90 said:
The vastly improved graphics are a joy to behold, the new punishment stations add a dimension to gameplay and the various modes will keep you playing 'til doomsday and beyond. It's almost perfect atmosphere-wise, and I could not have wished for anything more.
Stroghold 3 got a similar spread of scores from PC Games (Russia) who scored it an 80 and said:
A traditional strategy with many elements which are too old. Fans of the series may like it still
And MikefromSaskato who scored it a 3 said:
This game is broken. I desperately wanted to love this game, but after half a dozen attempts that all ended with swearing a blue streak at the game, I know that, barring a complete overhaul, this game should be considered Dead on Arrival and avoided like the plague. Many other reviewers have listed the numerous problems, including an insane difficulty, an utter lack of explanation, a lack of queues for attack, combat that borders on torture for the player, and castle-building that is incomprehensible (both in the building's relationships and in a seemingly random refusal to allow for building). I love castle games, but I wouldn't play this game if it was FREE, and they'd have to pay me a fair bit to put up with it. It has potential, but unless they pull out a complete overhaul similar to the Enhanced Edition of The Witcher, this game should be avoided by all.…
I think a lot of the negativity spang from the fact that the game was released with loads of bugs as does a lot of games these days. You just have to remember games like Fallout 3: New Vegas which was a beautiful game, but when it was released it was a disgrace.
It's final Meta score is 84 yet three of the critics that score it gave it a 2, 6 and a 10 I checked on what is probably going to be the next game of the year Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and even that has scores bordering on the ridiculous (i.e. 0), but then they do take into account a thousand plus scores; so such scores tend to be smoothed out. There's little chance of a skewed result with so many votes being taken into account.

Hi Jack, of course you can. If it's relevant to the games in question. I do tend to favour Steam, so neglect to mention that some games can be had for less. The advantages of getting it via Steam (for me at least) rather than a hard copy from Amazon is that Steam will automatically update your game for you and it's easier to deal with DLC as well. By the way, your post may seem out of context as I split the post above as I'd neglected to answer Campys last post. :)
That said still like having a hard copy I just don't have the shelve space or cupboard space for any more games as they are all full.
What a great weekend for deals this is: :)
You can get the complete Serious Sam franchise which contains 8 games Serious Sam 3, Serious Sam 2, Serious Sam 1st & 2nd encounters remastered HD versions) plus the originals ones, as well as two indie games listed below. (It isn't technically true that this pack contains all Serious Sam games as those who purchased the Serious Sam
Indie Royale bundle a few weeks ago will realise because there are more Indie related Serious Sam games now i.e. Serious Sam: Kamikaze Attack and Serious Sam: The Greek Encounter, however I think these were similar to the Mojam games in that they were created over a short period specifically for the Indie Royale bundle)................and the other deal is Deus Ex Human Revolution.
You can check the Serious Sam deal HERE and Deus Ex Deus Ex: Human Revolution HERE
I've uploaded images from all of the games which if you want can see in a larger format than the ones I've posted below HERE. These larger images will give you a much better idea as to what to expect from these games. I may also post some videos later.
Serious Sam pack:
I'm not going to post details of every game as it would take me a few hours and I want to go play some games (lol); however, the latest version of Serious Sam that is Serious Sam 3: BFE encompasses all that's good about the Serious Sam series and it's in gloriously rendered 3D graphics, using the latest game engine. When I first started playing this game I nearly jumped out of my skin when the first of the Mentals evil forces attacked me. Arriving at the Pyramids was alsmost awe inspiring, the realism of the game is astounding. you actually feel the heat of the environment (or maybe that was me going into one of my cyclic withdrawals from my bi daily dose of opiates, lol).
The two indie versions are excellent takes on the main games though instead of 3D you play in 2D (I prefer Double D to Random Encounters, the game play is similar, but double d's graphics are much richer; again this is just a preference. both games are very playable and greta for a quick play while deciding what else to play).
The originals (i.e. the First and Second Encounters) still retain their charm. When I first played the original back in 2001 I was awed by the then amazing graphics. Of course by today's standards they are very dated, but still retain a decent look despite their age (they look much better than most games from that period) and are still very playable. There's still a following online that play the original regularily and the game was modded with lots of extra content to be had if you are willing to search for it online.
Croteam, the creators of the franchise remastered the the original games a few years back and they now look fantastic. Apart from the updated graphics, the only real difference between the the originals and the HD versions is that in the originals you can still rocket bounce (a type of exploit), which enabled you to get onto roofs and other places that you wern't supposed to go. Rocket bouncing added an extra dimension to the online game; which unfortunately has been coded out in the latest versions.
To rocket bounce you point your rocket launcher to the ground in front of you and it launches you into the air. careful adjestments to the angles will allo you to jump onto usually inaccessble places which could give you an advantage in online gas becasue apart from some of the flying beasts and those that could shoot weapons you were invunerable to attack (and that was from most enemies). also i don't think some of the inaccessible areas were navmeshed so enemeies that could theoretically attack you didn't, which meant you could wrack up high scores without dying. It also had it's fun aspect as well.
Serious Sam 2 has only just been released on Steam; it was the long awaited sequel to the original two games (The first & Second encounters). The graphics are 2005 era, which again, by todays standards are rather flat, but they still look pretty good and are miles ahead of the original games. The latest game is amazing graphically and still retains the gameplay found in the originals. The main difference between all of those that preceeded the latest is that the latest is meant to be set in the past (which in game is supposed to be our present, wheras the older games are meant to be set in the far future. Serious has been sent back in time to try and stop Mental in his tracks before he takes over the Earth.
The pack contains the following games:

could very well be. I got a Steam code for Batman Archam city for a third off the Steam price (during the pre-order phase). A copy from an ATI or NVidia card I think.

If you don't want to wait for Amazon to ship it in March you can get it today on greenman gaming for £7.49.
Since the game activates on steam it doesn't matter where you buy it from, you have to have a steam account to play it. So, the box and disc Amazon sends you only saves you the time of downloading it.
Buying from GMG means you can get the DLC on sale this weekend as well, since you get the activation code from GMG immediately.
I've been playing this the last few weeks.. I'm about 2/3rds of the way through it and already logged about 30 hours, compared to around 20 total for most FPS.
If you like a slow, patient game, this is excellent. Quite the opposite of Serious Sam, actually :)

@WR: Thanks for your comments on Stronghold 3. I will look into it some more and consider it the next time it goes on sale.
I might have to go ahead and bite the bullet on DX: HR. I know I will get it sometime anyway. I've got a big backlog and figured I would wait on this knowing the price would come down.

Sensible thinking Campy. I've been doing the same with a lot of games since last summers sale when I realized that newly released games were no longer safe from weekend deals and 'summer sales' I was shocked to find virtually every new game I'd purchased within the last three months prior to the summer sale were in the sale for as much as 75% off and I'd not even started playing most of the games yet. Even a game that had only just been released several days before was in the sale for 40% off, so I and a good friend vowed we'd only pre-order games like Skyrim and games we'd been waiting for for a long time (for example Serious Sam 3, which I'd been waiting for for over 5 years since I first saw Croteams announcement back in 2006).
I'm sure the economic climate has a lot to do with the sales, but it was still galling to know I could have saved a lot of money if I'd only been willing to wait a little while. It wasn't as if I didn't have enough games to play and I've never been part of the hey i got it first brigade. Just sheer greed I suppose, well no, I've never been greedy, more like inpatient to see the new games.
Thankfully I've managed to stick to the new way of purchasing (well almost) since last summer and hope to continue even though at times I'm tempted to get the game (for example Wargame European Escalation and Gotham City Impostors).
Re: Stronghold 3, my suggestion would be to find a demo. You can find one HERE and check out lots of You Tube videos to see what actual user game play is like, rather than read too many negative reviews, though they aren't without merit. You can find loads of videos HERE. It may be that you will think it's rubbish, so I'd certainly wait till its on a very generous 75% off deal (I'd hate to be the one to have persuaded you to have purchased a game you later regret buying).
I've always had a knack for persuading people into my way of thinking, for example many years ago while at university, a friend was playing an old cassette of bygone hits and said that the particular record that was playing at a particular moment (called Flowers in the Rain by a band called The Move) that she was playing had been the very first record ever played on the UK's then number one radio station Radio One (because it said so on the dust cover of the cassete). The move a leading British rock band of the late 60's was later to fragment into The Electric Light Orchestra led by Jeff Lynn and Wizzard by Roy Wood though Roy was also the joint founder of ELO, but left when he was getting all the credit out of respect for his good friend Jeff. I'm sure everyone is familiar with Roy Woods Wizzard and his hit Christmas song which has been played virtually every Christmas since the 1970's to distraction. (I wish it could be Christmas every day). Anyway to the point.
I argued that it was not the case and gave a monologue on why I was definite about how wrong she and the cassette information was, I'd said the record called 'The Fire Brigade' was the very first record ever played on Radio One, all because I was sure I'd heard a radio broadcaster only a few days previously say so on the radio (I used to listen to the radio all the time back then, don't think i have for over a decade now). We were having a small party (as you did back when you were a student) with several friends. In the end we were split as to who was right. so I bet that whoever was wrong would have to stand the ones that were right a meal and free drinks for the night. I then wrote to Radio One posing the question and received a letter a few weeks later to discover that I'd been wrong. Amazingly of the friends at the party half had believed me. lol.
Suffice it to say we coughed up a free evening for those who'd supported my friends viewpoint.

This weeks midweek madness deal on Steam is Assassins Creed: Revelations, the latest and fourth game in the series. If you are already familiar with the earlier games and enjoyed them you won't go wrong investing this one. For those whove not played any of the games Some regualar players sugget you should at least play the previous game Assassins creed: Brotherhood as pars of the story in Reveletions will otherwise not make sense. I can't qualify this becasue I've only just worked my way through the tutorial and have been distracted from playing by other games.
As usual the graphics are amazing. It's 50% off till Thursday, that's £14.99 or $24.99 (slightly more expensive in the US than the UK and even more so in Euro currency countries; so if you've got a friend in the UK ask them to gift it to you. I highly recommend you read THIS review.

If you don't like mindless violence then don't bother with these games. All three are very violent games. That siad, Saints Row 1 & Saints Row The Third , are both GTAesque games are a lot of fun. They are open world games where you can just drive around if you want to explore the amazing world or follow the various scripted missions. There's loads of extra content to download as dlc, some of it rather corny (eg a gun that shoots fish bits and a shark that breaks through the sidewalk, plus loads of extremely silly outfits). It's all tongue in cheek stuff and IMO a lot of fun. You can get Saints Row 2 for 75% off thats £2.50/$3.75 (this isn't as tongue in cheek as Saints Row 3 and is more like GTAIV) and the third and newest version is £14.99/$24.99 (better to get a friend in the UK to gift this one as it works out cheaper) There's 50% off a strategy guide available for Saints Row the Third as well but no deals on the 11 dlc's which cost over £35/approx $50+. The third game on this weekends deal is PayDay: The Heist. You can actually download this and play it for free all weekend till Sunday evening, then if you like it purchase it for 50% off

If you purchased the original Humble bundle or bought the second and paid more than the average price you will already have this game. If you still don't have this game get it now. it's one of the most original platform games I've ever played. I originally purchased it shortly after it was released following its spectacualr win at the 2005 Independant Games Festivl where it won the grand prize.
The game includes a levels editor so you can make loads of extra content. Also if you pop over to Chronic Logics web site you'll find quite a lot of extra content uploaded by fans of the game. Just go to the forms HERE and find the Gish section. You'll have to search through the forums for all of the free stuff (which go back to 2004).
The Game:

A Sunday stroll with his lady friend, Brea, goes awry when a shadowy figure emerges from an open manhole and pulls Brea below ground. Following Brea's calls for help, Gish suddenly finds himself in the subterranean sewers of Dross, a long forgotten city filled with twisting corridors, evil traps, and some of the most demented creatures imaginable.

Two Worlds II and it's sequel Two worlds II: Pirates of the Flying Fortress are still 50% off. If you purchase them together as the Velvet edition there are further reductions of around 30%. I highly recommend the game to anyone who likes RPG's and still doesn't own the game. It's an excellent RPG with good graphics and an improvement on the original,, (which I think is still an excellent game. not Oblivion, but it's nearly as good. :)
Costume Quest and Psychonauts are also both 50% off and Dead Horde is 75% off

The whole Mafia Franchise is 75% off. That includes Mafia, Mafia II and Mafia II Deluxe plus all DLC's. This is a Grand theft Auto like game but instead of being a thug you are part of the Mafia, starting with you in the Army during WWII where you play an introduction almost like it's a first person shooter, arriving home and getting work through a friend who is already ensconced in the Mafia ways. The whole story sees you develop from a rookie Mafia protections racket dept collector to fully fledged hitman.
I like this game more than GTA IV because it has gorgeous period cars ranging from the 1930's through to the 1950's.
You start in the early 1940's and as the story progresses see a change from the 1940's through to the 1950's with a corresponding change in the music. I love the way this game has been created and highly recommend it to anyone who likes open world games where you can drive vehicles anywhere you want, shoot and beat up people (lol) Remember, this is just a game.

Todays 2K bargains are the great Bioshock and Bioshock 2. Ever wanted to imagine what it would be like to ditch into a cold sea while flying across the Atlatic on a cold stormy night; then check out Bioshock 1. Though that's not the beauty of these two grownd breaking games.
Get ready to enter a Art nouveau world set beneath the sea, A visionary tried to set up a nirvana away from civilization only for disaster to strike. You, the sole survivor of the plane crash happen upon the entrance to this underwater world, The bioshock Adventure starts and you'll be amazed. :)
This is an original concept game that will keep you enthralled for months; especially if you purchase both games at this fantastic price.
Bioshock:
The Game:
BioShock is a shooter unlike any you've ever played, loaded with weapons and tactics never seen. You'll have a complete arsenal at your disposal from simple revolvers to grenade launchers and chemical throwers, but you'll also be forced to genetically modify your DNA to create an even more deadly weapon: you. Injectable plasmids give you super human powers: blast electrical currents into water to electrocute multiple enemies, or freeze them solid and obliterate them with the swing of a wrench.
You can see videos of bioshock HERE or HERE
No encounter ever plays out the same, and no two gamers will play the game the same way.
1)... Biologically modify your body: send fire storming from your fingertips and unleash a swarm of killer hornets hatched from the veins in your arms.
2) ... Hack devices and systems, upgrade your weapons and craft new ammo variants.
3) ... Turn everything into a weapon: the environment, your body, fire and water, and even your worst enemies.
4) ... Explore an incredible and unique art deco world hidden deep under the ocean.
------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bioshock 2:
The Game:
Set approximately 10 years after the events of the original BioShock, the halls of Rapture once again echo with sins of the past. Along the Atlantic coastline, a monster has been snatching little girls and bringing them back to the undersea city of Rapture. Players step into the boots of the most iconic denizen of Rapture, the Big Daddy, as they travel through the decrepit and beautiful fallen city, chasing an unseen foe in search of answers and their own survival.

Slideshow:
Here's a slideshow from my photobucket account (I was having problems uploading to picdepict but wanted to at least give you access to more images other than the ones over on Steam. I didn't want to link to the images from my photobucket account as that would drain my bandwdth. I've already posted some images from my Photobucket account so my bandwidth is already fairly low at the moment.
You can see several images from each of the games HERE.
----------------------------------------------- L.A.Noire:
You can find out more about L.A.Noire and see video and images HERE
The images above are modelled after real life images.
The Game:
Amid the post-war boom of Hollywood's Golden Age, Cole Phelps is an LAPD detective thrown headfirst into a city drowning in its own success. Corruption is rampant, the drug trade is exploding, and murder rates are at an all-time high. In his fight to climb the ranks and do what's right, Phelps must unravel the truth behind a string of arson attacks, racketeering conspiracies and brutal murders, battling the L.A. underworld and even members of his own department to uncover a secret that could shake the city to its rotten core.
Using groundbreaking new animation technology that captures every nuance of an actor's facial performance in astonishing detail, L.A. Noire is a violent crime thriller that blends breathtaking action with true detective work to deliver an unprecedented interactive experience. Search for clues, chase down suspects and interrogate witnesses as you struggle to find the truth in a city where everyone has something to hide.
L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition:
Includes all previously released DLC for the console versions (including additional outfits, weapons, and cases such as “Nicholson Electroplating”, “Reefer Madness”, “Naked City”, “Slip of the Tongue”, “Consul’s Car” and more) and makes them available to players from the start.
----------------------------------------------- Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box:
Paradise city Map
The map was originally much bigger than the above, but much of the planned map was cut. It extended to the West into the mountains, and to the south across the bay and to the East there was a large island connected by a bridge to an airport. there were two or three long bridges across the bay to the southernmost part of the map as well. The island has been released, but minus the airport, but that is extra and only available on the consoles as far as I know?
When I first played this a couple of years ago I was vey impressed. In single player you can race against the set times ad try and beat all of the different roads and streets best times as well as find secret routes, smash through loads of bill boards plus lots more. The multiplayer is basically racig against other humans. This was the first game ever I felt like I was really racing around a real city. The graphics are excellent and add loads of atmosphere to the game. Drive or ride at night and you'll get an different experience. Fr the price this is a steal. Cheaper tha any arcade game apart from the special deals that Big fish do, but this is a triple AAA game, with a lot of game play.
You can find more details, and watch video and see images HERE
The Game:
Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box brings together the best console racing game of 2008, Burnout Paradise, with a host of great new content including motorbikes and exciting new online modes and challenges.
PC owners can look forward to spectacular visuals, incredible high speed racing, outrageous bone jarring crashes and a lifetime's worth of fun and challenging online modes for up to 8 players to enjoy.
