I thought it was about time I consolidated the posts that I make on a daily basis. It’s taking me so much time to sort these game deals out that I’ve been neglecting the free games project, so from now on I’m not going to bother posting details of any game deal every day unless it's something very special. Instead I’m going to add this post to the main pages sticky section so that it’ll always be available without having to search through the site. I may occasionally suggest a particular game if I know that it’s a bargain otherwise you’ll need to check the thread daily to see the 24 hr deals over at Steam and Impulse. (You can see the 24 hour deal from Steam seperatly via Didimatic, but you can't for the 24 hour Impulse deal).
I may have to add that deal to the thread each day (despite the thread being locked, but I won’t bother posting details of the game. (I get a pop up from Impulse whenever I turn the computer on that tells me what the 24 hour deal is, but only because I have purchased games from Impulse and have the client configured to log on when the computer is switched on).
Hopefully this will then give me more time to concentrate on the free games project. I’ve got so many freeware and abandonware games to post (that I’ve collected over the past few years) that I have no need to search for many months to come. I realize the impact won’t be the same with respect to not posting images of the games or the occasional game play video but I feel this is necessary if I want to concentrate more on the free games project. Maybe someone else will take over the reigns with respect to posting a more in depth review of each deal that comes our way, but with the didimatic list it's not really necessary.
Didimatic allows you to easily check current discounts offered by a variety of digital distributors either globally (i.e. a complete list of all games that have a discount) or by individual digital distributors that include the following well known sites:
Steam (plus the daily deal)
GOG
Impulse
Direct 2 Drive
GamersGate

Features of the site:
• Tracking of discount pricing in US dollars (USD), Pounds Sterling (GBP) and Euros (EUR)
• Sort current discounts by title, savings, price, Digital Rights Management method (DRM) and regional availability, etc.
• Filter out games you're not interested in
• Notification of site updates via Twitter or RSS
• A friendly community with which to chat
• Never again miss out on the chance to get some great games at amazing prices!
There are some features that you may find useful such as following features:
1) … View games
2) … My wish list
3) … My games
You can access Didimatics ‘All Games’ page HERE. On it you’ll find a very long list of all of the games on offer at this time. The list is updated frequently with the title of the game, the discount (i.e. savings), the discounted price in US and Euro dollars as well as the UK Pound Sterling. The list also includes the download site the game is discounted from, whether the game is DRM free and whether there are any restrictions such as licencing restrictions that is, the game may not be available in certain countries. It also lists when the deal started.
To access other features such as filtering out games you’re not interested in, for example FPS games or Strategy games, you need to create a free account and be logged onto the site;.
Overall this is a fantastic site that’ll soon empty your wallet if you love games and have no self control (like me, lol). :) At any one time there’s an average of over 400 games on sale ranging from 10% up to 75% off, though during the Summer and Christmas sales the deals may be as high as 95% off. During the Christmas and Summertime sales the number of games on sales generally doubles (or more) in size. Thankfully you can filter out specific sites like GOG or Steam (my preferred distributors) or the genres of game, otherwise you'll take forever to sort through all of the games.
Good hunting. I do hope you find what you are looing for. :)
