Armed Generator Doom Machine - vertically-scrolling shmup 2.5Mb
AGDM is a really excellent vertically scrolling ‘bullet-hell’ shooter, this one also by Beau Blyth. You fight brains, taking AI to a new level! What's more, each brain has loads of minions beit cannons or mini-shields. If you can get shots at the brain itself, not surprisingly, you'll beat the boss sooner. Power-ups get you more firepower, more misslies and speed. It’s for one or two players with a two player hotseat mode. Each game/boss fight is different, being procedurally generated. There’s an online score table too, as you battle for the highest score and try to survive!
Bosses can be edited if you should wish. Controls are configurable (including joystick/gamepad) and graphics, sound and music are first rate. You have a rapid-firing gun, missiles and shield at your disposal together with being able to choose upgrades when they become available. Default controls are 'Z' key =shoot, 'X' key = launch missile and 'C' key = shields.
Who doesn't want to fight brains? This is a really most enjoyable shooter and survival game!
