3rd Anniversary Free Games
I'll split the games here into separate posts as time permits and just leave a screenshot, brief description and link here in due course.
I’ve tried to include a very good variety of games and game types; there are 25 games from me in total, for the 3rd anniversary of the free games project, alongside those White Rabbit is posting. (He has some special ones up his sleeve!). It happens that some few of the ones I am posting are by the same author, simply because they are good games, not listed on the forum previously! It’s been great fun selecting games for the relatively short time (since last November!) that I’ve been posting on the forum, and an honour and privilege to post some of the better ones I have found, and enjoyed playing immensely, and often immeasurably!
I haven’t posted those to be found here in as much detail as normal weekly posts as time has been very tight for a week or two, but all will have at least one image, a brief description and a current download location.
It’s great and a real tribute to White Rabbit’s hard work and inspiration that the free games project is now progressing into its fourth year. The first three years have been very momentous in terms of both the quality and quantity of free games posted. But there are many more games to post, some of them great or really great games, with a good quantity of fantastic free games still under development, for some future release date. Even with two of us posting regularly, we can barely keep up with all of the new free games appearing, let alone catch up with all of the previous ones we have missed! White Rabbit has over the three years sometimes really pulled something out of the hat (!) with multiple listings, but more recently we’re trying to give each game its own post except for special occasions like this week’s anniversary postings!
There are still very many great/good (and free!) games out there that haven’t as yet appeared on the forum, please let us know if you are a game author! Refreshingly a substantial number of new such games are still arriving on the free games scene regularly, and mostly to a very high standard indeed!

Very good top-down shooter with many (and particularly hostile!) enemies. If you don't quickly get them they will most rapidly get you!

Gravortex (Beau Blyth) - puzzle platform 2Mb
Gravortex is a 2D puzzle platform game with gravity 'portals' with a set of 2D Physics-based puzzles.
nb Vista and Win 7 users should see the main post for Gravortex (see below) to get the converter program to make this GM6 game playable in Vista or Win 7.

G-Sector - 3D arena shooter 25.1Mb
G-Sector is a fantastic deathmatch 3D Arena shooter, that plays extremely well.
Vista and Win 7 users should set the compatibility tab to XP SP3 and play the game in full-screen modes, as the windowed mode won't run in these OS.

Jumper 3 - difficult platformer 8.4Mb
No apologies for this being a tricky platformer; Jumper 3 plays very well and gets remarkably difficult later on!

Lunaria - horizontal shooter (33.4Mb)
This has been described as the best horizontal shooter of the year when it came out in 2007. It’s a Doujin title and there’s a choice of 2 or 5 minutes to play to score as many points as you can!

Think basically top-down shooter but viewed isometrically. It’s a great fast-paced game and definitely one to savor! Splendid!
