There's little difference between the portable & installed versions, with both adding files & registering drivers with Windows, plus the registration is stored in the registry too -- run the portable elsewhere & it becomes the free version.
Windows gets: suite.vssMgr.exe & vssMgr.exe -- System32 gets MDA_NTDRV.sys, ndm-fre.exe, & ndw-fre.exe. One registry key is [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_MDA_NTDRV] but the 2nd has a name that varied where I've got the Xs [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_MPKSLxxxxxxxx] -- if you decide to or have to remove the files added to the Windows & Windows\ System32 folder, those registry keys can't do anything anyway but take up space.
