Here’s another game from Grass games called Cheveree. There are two versions of this game, the free one and a deluxe version which you have to pay for. The free version is well worth having, especially if you like bubble poppers on the lines of Luxor and Zuma’s revenge.
There are two game modes Challenge, where your rank increases or decreases dependent upon how well you play. The developer suggests that you play in this mode first so as to establish what ability rating (i.e. cadet or lieutenant) you should play. In the explorer mode you are able to choose the difficulty (the developer calls this your rank). The higher ranks are more challenging and earn more points.
You get three lives. I played this on the lieutenant level thinking that with all the experience I had playing games like the Luxor series as well as several other games of this marble popping genre that it would be easy; and in fact, when I started the game I though that it was going to be far too easy and would probably be a waste of time (for me at least. How wrong I was. I lost all three lives without even finishing one level. You have to be deadly accurate with this game; any mistakes and you’re going to lose. The game does have the usual power ups (though I only saw a pause power up when I played). There isn’t the ability to select a second marble to shoot, you only get the one choice.
